I am delighted to see that Plas Newydd is still inspiring artists:

The blog author, Susan Briscoe was a Plas Newydd Artist in residence, and organised the creation of a community quilt during her residency.

      In one word: WOW!

I’m so glad you brought this to our attention, Rose — only wish the installation was available “in person” still. Thanks to the close-up shots, one almost feels we’re there. Simply beautiful work.

As well as creating an Artist in Residence programme at Plas Newydd during my time working there, I also commissioned a play about The Ladies that was written by Lucy Gough and performed by Theatr Clwyd. I was interested to learn that the Llangollen Fringe has commissioned another play that will be premiered next week in the grounds: http://www.llangollenfringe.co.uk/index.php/en/festival-2015/113-sarah-and-eleanor
